Recap

A GREAT POINT AWAY FROM HOME TODAY IN SWELTERING TEMEPERATURES OF 42 DEGREES.
Full-Time:
SIGALAGALA POLY 0-0 SUNDERLAND AFC KEROCHE
In the early hours of this morning we departed Naivasha at 3am, to make the very long overnight journey to KAKAMEGA in Western Kenya to face SIGALAGALA POLY FC
In the first half the boys were winning the best of the possession and created some good chances, and were looking the best team, but the half ended 0-0
In the 2nd half it’s fair to say that SIGALAGALA had the best of the play, as our boys started to fatigue, due to the long overnight journey, lack of sleep, and the burning temperatures of 42 degrees at the pitch.
We had a few half chances, but SIGALAGALA had a goal ruled out for offside. Then in the 70th min SIGALAGALA were awarded a penalty, after a clumsy tackle by DICKENS.
Up stepped their striker, but COLLO diving to his rightside pushed the ball onto the post, and their striker got to the rebound, but somehow COLLO got back to his feet and pulled off a great double save. (He was watching Patto at QPR)
5mins later COLLO once again pulled off an amazing fingertip save, to keep the game at 0-0, which is how it ended.
This was a great fighting display, and a well earned point, considering the long overnight journey, and todays sweltering temperatures.
Next weekend we face BONDO UTD at home, in yet another big game, and we shall be wearing our new home kits, sponsored by ECO LOGIC PARTNERS in the UK. we shall be picking up our new kits on Wednesday from Nanyuki.
Thank you to all our amazing fans for your support
