Recap

IT FEELS LIKE A DEFEAT
FULL-TIME
SUNDERLAND AFC KEROCHE 2-2 GDC FC.
In todays division 1 league opener against GDC FC we got off to a great start in the 6th minute when JARO picked up the ball on the left wing, easily beat his marker for speed, looked up and delived a pinpoint cross onto the head of the onrushing KEVO NYAMWEYA.
The 1st half was 60-40 in our favour, and in the 30th min CAPT JOSE applying a high press forced their defender into a mistake, took the ball into the box and calmly placed a shot inside the keepers lefthand post.
HALF-TIME 2-0
In the 2nd half GDC came out all guns blazing and pulled a goal back in the 51st min.
After that, both teams had good chances, with GDC having most possession, but we held out with ease, until the 2nd minute of added time, when GDC got a free-kick close to the righthand touchline, in came the cross, which managed to find it’s way through a very crowded penalty area, into the far left post.
But, straight from the restart we had a fantastic opportunity to win the game, when CAPT JOSE with only the keeper to beat pulled his shot inches wide.
The lads were devastated at full-time, BUT, when you consider that GDC beat us 4-0 last season, it shows how we are continuing to progress.
WE GO AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY, WHEN WE MAKE THE VERY LONG JOURNEY TO MAYENJE SANTOS (Last seasons league runners up)
