Recap

A GREAT AWAY POINT TODAY AGAINST MUHORONI YOUTH, WHO PLAYED IN THE SUPER LEAGUE LAST SEASON.
Full-Time:
MUHORONI YOUTH 1-1 SUNDERLAND AFC KEROCHE.
Yet another very long away journey, with the lads leaving Naivasha at 3am for todays game.
Today we were travelling light, as many of our players were unavailable due to work committments, so we only had 15 players travelling.
What made todays journey even worse was we had a mechanical issue with the bus on the way, and while we were waiting for a mechanic to arrive our player ALEX decided to look for a local shop, and went missing, we were unable to locate him and his phone was suddenly switched off, leaving us with a big dilemma. We reported this to the local police, but had to then carry on with our journey, with everyone concerned for his safety.
We finally arrived at MUHORONI at 12.30pm, and had to get our minds in focus for the game, against a quality team, who competed in the National Super League last season.
Starting 11:
Collo, Izo, Kaluu, Iriga, Steve, Dickens, Wafula, Nyamweya, Philo, Jose and Jaro.
Subs
Mutuguti, Victor and Steve Kante.
The game got underway at 14.07 and after 7 mins MUHORONI YOUTH took the lead from a breakaway (1-0) but on 15mins a great through ball to PHILO, he spun his defender and fired a cracker into the bottom corner (1-1)
The remainder of the half was an even affair, with both teams cancelling each out, in a midfield battle.
Half-Time: 1-1
In the 2nd half we finally managed to get phone reception to stream the game live, and those watching will agree that we had most of the possession (60-40) and created the best chances, but were just unable to get the breakthrough.
So the game ended:
MUHORONI YOUTH 1-1 SUNDERLAND AFC KEROCHE.
This was a great performance by the lads after the disappiontment of last weekends defeat at ZOO FC.
Next weekend we finally have a home game against NYALENDA UTD, on Saturday 28th at the ECO LOGIC PARTNERS STADIUM OF LIGHT (Karai Sec) Kick-off at 2.00pm EAT.
Now our thoughts are on ALEX and we shall be stopping on the way home, to see if the police have any information, as ALEX’S phone is still switched off.
We are all praying all is OK with him.
UPDATE:
Alex has been found and he is safe and well, all is good. Thanks to God.
