What a fantastic game, between 2 evenly matched teams.

In the first half, both teams were going for the opening goal, with NYALENDA winning the corner kick count, but our lads creating the best chances, against a keeper who was on fire.

In the 32nd min the stretcher was brought on after a NYALENDA player came off worse in a fair 50-50 tackle, and he was replaced by one of their Subs.

Once again in the 2nd half, both teams went looking for the opening goal, but our keeper “COLLO” had nothing serious to contend with, but the NYALENDA keeper was pulling off some amazing saves, to keep it at 0-0.

Finally in the last minute of normal time, we won a free kick just inside the NYALENDA half. Steve Anthony floated in the ball and Substitute MUTUGUTI was there to fire home.

The celebrations afterwards were amazing, mixed with emotions of relief.

Man of the match was certainly the NYALENDA keeper, but the Sunderland AFC Keroche man of the match was awarded to ROBBA who stood like a man mountain in defence.
